Playing around with edits :)

First things first! Always make a duplicate layer. :)

On the duplicate layer, I edited out the little girl using the cloning tool. Once she was gone, I used the gaussian blur filter to around 20 I think, then used the multiply blend mode. I reduced the opacity temporarily to see where to mask and brush off to reveal the little girl again, and then brought the opacity back up to 100. I then created another layer to add a dark gradient on either side at 50 % opacity. Then I created a circular gradient in a yellowish color in  the very center of the picture at the same opacity, made a layer mask and brushed it off the little girl. Then, I used the Heckedy Peg action by Greater than Gatsby.

The next step I took was to use another action The Dark Aesthetic action by Greater than Gatsby. I then did a color curves adjustment for the light, pigment and red tones to give it a more autumn feel. Then I created another new layer and added in some light rays coming down from  the circular gradient. I reduced the opacity to around 60 %, used the screen blend mode, created a layer mask, and again brushed them off the little girl.

Next, I flattened the image, created a duplicate layer and used the high pass filter at 10.0. I then did a gaussian blur at 2.1 and inverted the image and blended it to linear light. I then created a layer mask and brushed the duplicate layer off of the little girl and all of the grass in the foreground. Then I selected her face, refined the edge around her so it was fairly feathered out, and created a new layer from it. I adjusted the curves and contrast again to give her face more of a pop. Then, I flattened the whole thing and added a slight vignette.

And there is the end result!

Little Mr. Coppock

This handsome little guy recently turned 2 months old! And he made a very cute Christmas elf :) I have to say, for being such a tiny little one, he was very easy going, happy, and patient! Thanks Amy for letting me capture your little man's sweet smile :)

LeBoutillier Family Portraits

Where did summer go? It went from 70 degrees to 40 degrees in just a week! Thankfully, this lovely family were good sports and smiled in spite of freezing! And the littlest member, Clara, barely one year old, did a fabulous job posing. She sure has got the flirty pout down pat!

Baby Graceyn

This sweet little doll is just barely 3 months old! Still learning how to be on her tummy and make big smiles, but she was very sweet and a great little model :)
