Turning 8

Tonight I had the opportunity to take some pictures of a very lovely little girl and her sweet baby sister. Just for clarification, this girl has three little sisters! And she is setting a beautiful example for them by getting baptized very soon. Wearing a white dress made by her mother, we met in a big field and had an audience of soccer players! It was a very fun evening!

Thank you Kenadi for letting me help you commemorate your very special day!

Daffodils

When we moved here, summer was ending and most of the flowers had already died. There were a few lilies in front of our mail box, but they didn't last very long after we got here either. So it was a welcome surprise yesterday to see beautiful yellow daffodils popping up along the rock wall in front of our house. I got one nice one yesterday, but I went out this morning as the sun was coming up to get a few more pictures; the grass was covered in thick dew and the sun backlit the petals of the little flowers perfectly. Too bad it always looks better in person.

Pope Family Portraits

I have been able to take lots of pictures lately! It's wonderful!

Tonight I went to take some family pictures of the Pope family. Mom, dad and two beautiful daughters delightfully humored me while I practiced with different lighting techniques and poses. We were lucky that the cloudy, yucky weather cleared up just in time as well! But no matter what the lighting, this lovely family would have looked amazing!  Thank you to the Popes for a fun evening!

Thacker Family Session

It's true, taking pictures right before sunset really is the most beautiful time to do it!

Yesterday I was able to take some family portraits of the Thacker Family. We drove out to a local park with some lovely scenery and walked around taking pictures and enjoying each other's company. Their daughter Ashley came with a great vintage dress that photographed well and made her look beautiful! Their son Tate was a ball to work with, and it was great to photograph a couple who seemed to be just as in love as they would have been for their engagement pictures!

Thank you to the Thackers for a wonderful evening!
