Still learning. My newest adventure goes into photoshop fantasy. Here's a few examples, they're a bit rough, I apologize, but I'm getting there!

New Editing Tricks

I always love learning new tricks :) I'm a little crazy when it comes to photo editing, and photoshop is my software of choice. Though I have been sinking my teeth into lightroom, and it does have some time saving tools. The new thing I learned this week is overlay modules. Basically, adding texture, background, objects to your photos and having them look like they originated in the picture. It's difficult, some that I have tried look better than others...hehe. But, with practice, I may never need to buy a different backdrop for my studio ever again. Here are a few examples of before and after!

Rohrberg-Johnson Family Session

Last night I was able to do a nice little family session with the Rohrberg-Johnson's. We met up at a local park, where we became a delectable feast for the local insects :/ All in all though I think we had a great time! Their three sweet children did excellent, which I know can be hard for little ones! And as the sun was setting, it gave us a nice golden glow. And how beautiful is Iowa in the fall? The prarie we shot at was covered, and I mean covered, in gorgeous sunflowers! Perfect for little girl's portraits :)

Kristina and Kyle

I think the lesson for today was "don't trust the forecast!" :) Thankfully, the clouds and thunder and rain went away just in time to do a lovely engagement session. Kristina and Kyle are a sweet couple, very down to earth and fun to work with! And the rich fall colors did nothing but enhance their portraits! Getting excited for their upcoming wedding! Thanks again you two!!
